Good to know the forum's not allergic to PDFs per se; must just be big ones. We might have to try different sizes to see what the board's cutoff is -- not the cutoff I configured for it (which is huge), but the biggest PDF the board will actually accept. If the most it can swallow in one bite is 120K or so, heck, most of the chapter files weigh 150K or so all by themselves.

Over the next week I'll be putting together a table of contents/chapter index for Explorers that at least lists the different scenes and sub-stories of each game-day. I've had one for DtP for years, and it was quite an impressive piece of work; "The Story Thus Far" post for that RP is only the extremely condensed version.

...Ahh, OK. To pick a message in a thread to reply to, select "Insert Quote" from the list of messages under the Compose window. This serves the same function as the >> 's in an e-mail conversation. Your reply will still post at the bottom of the thread, but at least we'll know what each other is responding to.

This will not work for porting our stories over. For those, we'll have to go just like live RP: Waiting 'til it's our turn, then replying to the last thing the other player has written (no quoting necessary).

Purple it iz! Funny thing, that was always my traditional text color in my Roman fora; I even have my own custom shade, darker than Simple Machines' default. This is it you're lookin' at right here...

And, for contrast, here's the Forum's version. (Okay, you'd have to have crazy-sensitive color vision to tell the difference, but it mattered to *me*.) More red in theirs; equal red and blue in mine.

I have my own green and my own blue, too, carefully hand-selected from my swatch of "Web-safe colors".
